Meet the Team
MAURITZ HEYMANS
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Mauritz has been instrumental in the establishment of the Laundry Connect product locally, working with the developers, and pioneering the early establishment of the product. As time has gone on and as the product has grown, he has begun to hand over the reins of sales and technical support, but remains intimately involved in day-to-day operations overseeing the sales and support team and contributing to new product development and assisting with higher level problem solving in the field.
Mauritz has been in the laundry industry since 2006. During this time, he gained a wealth of knowledge by processing laundry for various hospitality and healthcare customers. His experience in processing laundry means that we are able to offer our customers a complete solution from selecting the correct equipment for the job to quality wash results at the end of the day and everything in between. He was also part of the draft process to update the SANS 10146 to its current version and is assisting the Services SETA to develop a laundry qualification for all laundry workers.
JERMAINE BLEEKERS
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Having single handedly managed the support desk in the early months after its relocation from JHB to CT, Jermaine has been exposed to all aspects of the business from technical support, to sales, to administration and stock control. Sales responsibilities have moved on, but he remains active and an integral part of the technical support team – the glue that keeps the team together and striving for the ideal of world class technical support.
With a profound passion for football, Jermaine regularly engages in the sport, and also finds fulfilment in the discipline and technique of boxing & MMA – keeping fit aligns with his love for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He is also a keen reader.
His most cherished roles are that of being a husband and a father, to his loving spouse and two wonderful kids, who constantly bring joy and meaning to his life.
RYAN AMBEROSE
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Our newest member of the support team – brought in to become our lead technical person. With a background in technical support with companies like Amazon, and possessing strong technical qualities, Ryan will become our go-to person in areas where stubborn technical problems present themselves. He will be responsible for the training and up-skilling of technical staff in 7 branches around Southern Africa, employing standards to ensure internal product quality control, while also liaising with the product development team around future development pathways.
Ryan cut his teeth in business managing two companies simultaneously and after a successful 3-year period, handed over the reins to his partners to pursue a career in IT. He then joined Amazon as a Technical Support Associate and 6 months in to his 3-year tenure, was promoted to Subject Matter Expert and Trainer where he trained and managed new and tenured associates. He served in the capacity of a QA Analyst as well, ensuring that the Amazon standards were being met.
In his personal time, Ryan enjoys watching and playing any sport, being outdoors and having an ice-cold beer or playing games that involve strategy.
PATRICIA ENGELBRECHT
NATIONAL SUPPORT CONTROLLER / ADMINISTRATOR
We’re thrilled to introduce Patricia, our new National Support Controller/Administrator! With a wealth of experience in customer support and administrative roles, Patricia is excited to assist you. She has strong technical proficiency, enabling her to efficiently manage sales orders, track inventory, and generate detailed reports. Her excellent communication skills allow her to effectively liaise with clients and technical teams, ensuring a smooth support process. A skilled problem-solver, Patricia excels at identifying issues and streamlining processes to improve efficiency. Her keen attention to detail ensures that all documentation is accurate and compliant, which is crucial in her role.
Originally from Johannesburg, Patricia has happily made the move to Cape Town, where she enjoys the vibrant culture and stunning scenery. Outside of work, she is passionate about exploring delicious food, whether trying new recipes at home or dining out with loved ones. Patricia values quality time spent with family and friends, creating lasting memories and sharing laughter.

REINHARDT SCHäFFNER

Reinhardt is responsible for new equipment installations, and attending to calls where the office based support team have not succeeded in resolving a particular issue telephonically.
Reinhardt enjoys bikes, hunting, fishing and cricket. He loves a good braai and watching the Springboks. He enjoys learning and figuring things out, seeing how everything comes together at the same time.

Selwyn has been in the laundry industry for almost 10 years. He joined our team in 2019 and quickly applied himself.
He is always positive and keen to learn. He believes in maintaining good relationships with customers. He will always ensure that he finds a solution to solving the problem at hand.

Cape Town
Josh joined Lead in 2017. He is qualified as an electrical single phase tester. In-house trained technician with 4 years of field experience in the industrial laundry and catering equipment repair industry. Josh always puts God first and is a family man who is career and goal driven. He loves the outdoors and his favourite sport is cricket.
DEXTER BOTHA
FIELD TECHNICIAN
Port Elizabeth
Dexter has 8 years experience in working all types of laundry equipment, including domestic, commercial and industrial washers, dryers and ironers. Dexter reports the favourite part of his day is when he leaves a customer knowing that they are happy and satisfied with his work and professionalism. Dexter’s hobbies include drag racing and working on modifying engines.
WAYNE TROLLIP
FIELD TECHNICIAN
Bloemfontein
Qualified Electrician ending at the top of his class in 2019, specialist when it comes to inspection, testing and fault finding with a certificate in single phase domestic installations.
South African born and bred, Wayne is qualified to do basic welding applications; he can operate a Gantry crane to the maximum of 15000kg. His experience in basic theoretical and practical workshop needs has proven to be a great advantage in the trade. Wayne joined lead in 2022. He is a team player, a people’s person, solution orientated, customer focused.
JOSHUA MCFARLANE
FIELD TECHNICIAN
Nelspruit
Joshua is the youngest addition to our Service Team in Nelspruit. Being the son of the Service Manager means Joshua is kept on his toes to ensure his work is up to standard. Joshua is always willing to assist wherever necessary and take on technical jobs that provide him with a challenge and test his skill. He is a valued member of our team.
